This mother’s day I want to share my favorite mama-owned small businesses. From clean skincare, fashion, sensory activities and more — all these badass mamas have gone though the magic and mayhem of motherhood, and still be runnin’ show! Baby Teith is the place to be for rock ‘n’ roll mamas who want clever, music-inspired fashion for their babies! I love music; especially punk, post-punk and all things rock ‘n’ roll. When my friend Summer told me about Baby Teith, I was elated. I clearly styled Victoria out in just about all of Baby Teith’s David Bowie threads and then some. I love that Baby Teith makes quality clothing that lasts (to this day Victoria still wears this dress comfortably), and is run by a badass mama named Tiffe Fermaint. Best of all, Baby Teith is also an awesome motherhood community (she also designs clothes for mamas). Postpartum can be rough, and you can lose your sense of self. The Baby Teith club house helped me connect with wonderfully weird moms just like me. We actually get each other’s memes. <3

3. Colorama
After attending one of her sensory mommy-and-me groups, I quickly became friends with Brittany Howell. She is the owner and founder of Colorama, but I like to refer to her as the “Sensory Queen.” Aside from being such a lovely person, Brittany seriously has a wealth of creative ideas to keep your child busy and learning with sensory play. Victoria absolutely loves Colorama’s Create Kits. They have literally kept her entertained for over an hour with homemade playdough and all sorts of sensory fun.

4. Mom Culture
Community. Support. You’re Not Alone. These are words that come to mind when I think of Mom Culture. Owned and created by Sara Komer, Mom Culture is a place you visit when you want to let that motherhood flag fly. From clever statement shirts & sweatshirts, coffee mugs, pins, hats and more — Sara has truly created something special here. I adore my “Raise Good Humans” pin and wear it proudly on my go-to jean jacket. And this University of Motherhood T is as soft as melted buttah. It quickly became my favorite sleep shirt. What I especially love about Mom Culture is that Sara has created a safe place for moms to connect and support each other. Her Instagram posts are very inspirational and can sometimes really make a difference in your day.
P.S. Sara has great taste in music. We once bonded at an event over our love for Siouxsie and the Banshees. Yass, girl!

5. Boho Rocker Baby
