The Santhiya Koh Yao Yai is the place to be for endless self-care.
After four awesome, but exhausting days of city life in Bangkok, my husband and I were ready for some rest and relaxation with an epic ocean view!
The Santhiya was everything I wanted for a relaxing beach hotel in Thailand. It’s located on the sleepy island of Koh Yao Yai, nestled between Phuket and Krabi. It’s not only the best place to stay in Thailand for couples, but it’s a fabulous Thailand hotel for families, girls’ trips and mother / daughter retreats.
Effortlessly Beautiful Photos
From the tri-colored blue hues of the sea, to the gorgeous cliffside ocean views, you can’t really take a bad photo at the Santhiya Koh Yao Yai. This gorgeous property will give you a photo album to remember, and total Instagram envy.
Fine Craftsmanship & Aesthetics
Made from stunning teak wood, all the rooms and villas at the Santhiya Koh Yao Yai boast luxurious old world charm. The details and craftsmanship make you feel like you’re in another era.

I still can’t believe we got this infinity pool villa WITH an ocean view for $350 a night. That price is unheard of; and it’s already rare to find such a luxurious combo with this breathtaking view.
Adventure to a Secret Beach
Whether you’re on two wheels, four wheels or cruising by foot (or boat!) — Santhiya Koh Yao Yai offers endless adventure. My husband and I enjoyed exploring the sleepy island on a guided ATV tour. We road through rubber tree forests and ended up on a secret beach. It was like a dream having it all to ourselves!

Those Perfect White Sand Beaches
If you’re like me, and get butterflies over the idea of a tropical vacation full of soft white sands and crystal clear waters, the Santhiya Koh Yao Yai will give you plenty. Not to mention, it’s not overcrowded and you can actually relax on their beach. And did I mention how delicous a dip in the ocean is? Soooo good.
Romance
There’s plenty of privacy within the confines of the villas at the Santhiya Koh Yao Yai. Take a bath on the outdoor terrace, or skinny-dip in your private infinity pool. It’s alllll good.
And More Romance …
The staff at the Santhiya Koh Yao Yai knows how to dress a honeymoon villa. It was all too sweet to open our bedroom doors to a gorgeous bed adorned with flowing white drapes, flower petals and those obligatory honeymoon-swan-towels.
Ocean Views for Days
I live for ocean views. There’s just something about the great ocean that puts me at ease. The Santhiya Koh Yao Yai does not fall short of those ocean views you crave. It was kind of cool to see a few long-tail boats come and go every morning.
Beachside Dining with Delicious Menus
The dining options at the Santhiya Koh Yao Yai were fantastic. Their buffet did not disappoint, which is a rarity at most resorts. While we mostly dined in the privacy of our ocean view villa (we even had a butler), we would also enjoy a la carte meals and cocktails on their al fresco patio or on a beachside cabana.
Street Food
Yes! There is street food on this sleepy island! Just walk down the beach 5-10 minutes and you’ll come across a little open air market right on the sand serving up all sorts of delicious Thai eats. We opted for fresh whole lobster and rice. It was perfect (and so was the price).
Affordable Luxury
Can you believe this gorgeous ocean view infinity pool villa only cost us $350 a night!!! Yes, it’s true. A similar villa in the U.S. would run you about $4,000 … per night!
The Santhiya Koh Yao Yai is hands down the best relaxing hotel in Thailand. I mean, c’mon, it’s no wonder it’s sandwiched between the party islands of Phuket and Krabi! People need to hop on a quick boat and gets some rejuvenation and the Santhiya!
